Children’s Sunday School

Children’s Sunday School Program is called YAPP (Youth and Puppet Program). Involves imaginative use of puppetry.

 

YAPP runs concurrently with Sunday Morning service. Children spend opening minutes in church, then go out to Parish Hall for Sunday School and rejoin families in church for Communion.

 

Usually 8-week teaching blocks with some Sundays off in between. Curriculum geared to the seasons of the church and the readings of the day.

 

Recently started using a new curriculum describing aspects of God’s creation with a particular emphasis on being good stewards of environment. Usually included in the lesson are colouring pages, puzzles and craft activities.

 

Participants: a roster of teachers and helpers. Parents are encouraged to volunteer. And of course the children themselves. Mainly ages 4-12
